AIESEC UNS

The basic idea to establish AIESEC in UNS appeared around May 2011. At that time, 16 students from UNS passed the selection as an Exchange Participant of AIESEC through AIESEC UNDIP Open Recruitment which held in UNS. The 12 students, among others :

2) Ratri Wulandari,
3) Brihaspati Yogarudha,
4) Nandiwardhana Grahitomukti,
5) Ayu Purnama,
6) Annisa Jumaniar,
7) Alhabsie Fikri,
8) Alhadid Somad,
9) Shabrina Anita,
10) Khairiyah Nasution,
11) Monika Larasati,
12) Sofian Rendy, and those

12 students finally became the founders of AIESEC UNS. The founders gathered to share ideas about the establishment of AIESEC in UNS. After the first meeting, they were agree to establish AIESEC in UNS and contact AIESEC UNDIP soon to know the requirements to establish AIESEC in UNS. After several meetings and intensive communication with AIESEC UNDIP, the first step was to appoint a Team Leader for Team Founder AIESEC UNS. Located at Gower Sriwedari, the whole Team Founder discussed to determine the Team Leader, within approximately 3 hours they chose Brihaspati Yogarudha or Yoga as a Team Leader.

The first conference which attended by delegates from UNS is Management Board Conference in UDAYA Training Centre (University of Surabaya) on October 2011. The delegates of UNS are Brihaspati Yoga, Dharma Aryo Pahla Irhamna, and Ratri Wulandari. In that Conference, our delegates presented a short video about UNS and Solo. Other conference participants were very enthusiastic to the presentation of UNS delegation. After the presentation, many participants were acquainted with the delegates and gave them spirit and motivation to established AIESEC in UNS.

After that, the founders were asked to make a Feasibility Study of the UNS and Solo. They divided the team into two; the first team was conducted to make a Feasibility Study of the UNS and the second team was conducted to make a Feasibility Study on Solo. Feasibility Study was completed within 1 month. Later, the 2nd Conference was IYLC (Indonesian Youth Leadership Conference) which held by AIESEC UNDIP on December 2011. AIESEC UNS was sent 8 delegates, consist of: Annisa Jumaniar, Brihaspati Yoga, Nandiwardhana, Ayu Purnama, Alhadiid Somad, Farah Nuratna, Merinta Bella, Monika Larasati, Sekartika Arum.

Coming home from IYLC, the entire Team Founder held an election meeting for LCP (Local Committee President) of AIESEC in UNS.

The 3rd Conference that they attended was NEC (National Election Conference) in Bukittinggi. It held by AIESEC University of Andalas in January 2012. At that time, AIESEC UNS sent 6 delegates, they were: Aryo Dharma Pahla Irhamna, Annisa Jumaniar, Monika Larasati, Sekartika Arum, Sofyan Rendy, Bella. In NEC, they presented a progress about AIESEC UNS Feasibility Report. Presentation from AIESEC UNS delegates were responded very positively by Conference’s participants. AIESEC UNS finally reached the stage of AIESEC Expansion Initiative. Then AIESEC UNS were given a next task to qualify become Official Expansion.

Then in the NEC (National Election Conference) 2013 which was held by AIESEC Undip in Kudus, Central Java, AIESEC UNS was sent 6 delegates. In that conference, AIESEC UNS managed to be in the next stage to an Official Expansion.

AIESEC UNS itself got the legality from University in February 20th, 2013. AIESEC UNS now officially become platform under International Office UNS for the students in UNS to explore and develop their leadership potential.

There still a long way to go to the Full Member level. Many obstacles and struggles should have been done. But we believe through hard work, sweat, and determination, we can always make our dreams come true and spread positive impact to the society in generally and students in particularly.
